It is always refreshing to see a new face on the smartphone landscape, especially one as reputable as Razer, a major player on the thriving PC gaming scene.

You don't necessarily have to appreciate Razer's style and portfolio, but you'll most likely agree that the "PC master race" audience is a tough one to please. Razer has made a name for itself by managing to do just that, catering to the fickle gamer crowd's whims and fanciesThis is probably the best kind of track record to bring along when setting off to explore Android as a mobile gaming niche. An idea that few have dared to pursue. Mobile gaming is far from dead, nor is it a niche activity per se. Quite on the contrary, it's a growing fad and probably the one that's best equipped to accommodate a busy modern lifestyle.

With the rapid advances in hardware performance and a growing number of serious, competitive gaming titles, such as MOBAs, making their way on to the Android platform, it seems like a matter of time for more gaming brands to hop on the mobile hardware bandwagon. If there is money to be made,Enter the Razer Phone, the first phone to dare bring a high refresh rate screen to the traditional Android markets. An impressive 120HZ IGZO screen is easily the single most impressive novelty but the rest of the spec sheet is painting a pretty solid 2017 flagship picture.

Top 5 Upcoming Games in 2018

Top 5 Upcoming Games in 2018

1.FarCry 5 – (Ubisoft)

FarCry franchise needs no introduction. What began in 2004 as a modest and fuss-free first-person shooter, has gained a huge cult following among ardent FPS gamers.

According to developers Ubisoft, the fifth instalment of FarCry, unlike its predecessors, will not take place in far-off exotic locations. The action will be set in the United States of America.

That’s not all. FarCry 5 will have brand new gameplay feature in which the player will be able to recruit locals to fight alongside him during missions.

The release date is February 27, 2018. So, mark your calendar and power your controller

2.EA Sports UFC III - (EA Sports)

The octagon for UFC III is almost ready and we can’t wait to hear the three golden world – “Here we go!”

The third instalment of EA’s widely popular mixed martial arts fighting video game hits stores on February 2, 2018, and it will bring with it a new G.O.A.T. (Greatest of all time) gameplay feature.

Much like FIFA 17 and 18’s ‘My Journey’ mode, the GOAT feature will allow fighters to make choices throughout their careers that will ultimately affect their path to greatness. They will also be able to make promotional decisions to make big bucks before the pay-per-views.

3.Spider-Man - (Insomniac Games)

Your friendly neighbourhood wall-crawler will once again spin a web of action, adventure and entertainment in the second quarter of 2018. For developer Insomniac Games, famous for the Ratchet & Clank series, Spider-Man will be their first fully licensed game after 22 years in the gaming industry.

As per reports, the game will only have a single-player mode and will not be linked to the origin stories of Spider-Man or the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, major origin characters like Wilson Fisk, Mister Negative, and Mary Jane Watson have already been confirmed to feature in the storyline.

The game is expected to release in the second Half of 2018.

4.Dragon Ball FighterZ

The upcoming 2.5D fighting game from Arc System Works is the most anticipated fighting game of 2018 so far, and it’s one that you don’t have to be a Dragon Ball fan to love. The game will take concepts from Marvel vs. Capcom where you’ll form a team with three different characters, with the player controlling one of those characters at a time. Players will be able to switch to any of their team members during battle as well as call in an Assist move. Confirmed characters so far include Android 16, Captain Ginyu, Frieza, Gohan, Goku, and more.

5.Red Dead Redemption 2

A major part of 2016 for gaming news journalists was sorting through Red Dead Redemption 2 rumors and leaks, as there were more than even we can count (and we’d like to think we can count pretty high). Finally, Rockstar blessed us with a Red Dead Redemption 2 teaser on the same day that the Switch was announced.
We don’t have much along the lines of details just yet, but the teaser showed seven cowboys on the horizon, alluding to a possible multiple story angle, similar to Grand Theft Auto V. That’s just speculation at this point, although we know that there will also be a Red Dead Online. We’ll update as we learn more, but honestly, Rockstar could give us no details until the release date and we’d still buy RDR2.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most anticipated upcoming open world games of 2018, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
